Blue Faces Relief
Blue Faces Relief only reveals its sculpted nature upon close inspection. When you first walk into the room with it you think you are seeing an unusual painting in blues. Then you get closer and realize that some of the shading on the faces is coming from real shadows as they are carved into this mixed media sculpture. Your eyes still play some tricks on you due to the matt acrylic finish of the background contrasting with the glosser acrylic on the faces themselves. This stunning work hangs 24”x19”x2”.
